Matthew Sewell

Matthew is a co-founder of Cultimate, a tournament management company dedicated to the promotion and advancement of ultimate frisbee. Since 2004, he has helped to create and manage some of College Ultimate’s biggest and brightest tournaments, including College Centex, The Stanford Invite, Trouble in Vegas, and Roll Call.

Though he began playing at Oberlin College in Ohio, he spent most of his college ultimate career at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, Matthew remained in Austin to help coach the Texas Ultimate program, eventually guiding them to a national’s berth in 2002. In 2005, he joined Seattle Sockeye, and his contributions on defense have helped Sockeye to two UPA Club Championships in 2006 and 2007 and the WUGCC Silver Medal in 2008.

Cyle Van Auken

Cyle Van Auken has been a satellite member of the Cultimate team since 2006, helping to plan and implement the 2008 National Collegiate Ultimate Series, formatting and seeding tournaments, and assisting with the Fall Schedule including 2007 Northwest Club Regionals. Cyle currently coaches the University of Washington’s women’s team, Element, and has helped with many coaching clinics in the Northwest.

Cyle was part of the quartet of indefatigable players that led Florida to the 2006 College National Championship, and played that role again in the 2008 season that culminated in a National Runner-Up finish. Cyle’s club career includes two seasons with National Qualifier Vicious Cycle in 2005 and 2006.

Ben Feldman

Ben is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is finishing up his fourth season as a member of the Wisconsin Hodags. Born and raised in Minnesota, Ben started playing Ultimate when he was a sophomore at Hopkins High School. Ben attended Junior Elite Methods (JEM) Camp in 2005, which was put on by the University of Colorado Ultimate Frisbee Program. His efforts to bring about Next Level were largely inspired by the enjoyable experience he had while attending JEM Camp as a high school player, and hopes to provide current high school students with a similar experience.
