]]> http://nextlevelultimate.com/2009/12/next-level-promo-1/feed/ 0 About the Organizers http://nextlevelultimate.com/2009/12/about-the-organizers/ http://nextlevelultimate.com/2009/12/about-the-organizers/#comments Wed, 23 Dec 2009 02:42:02 +0000 Coordinator http://nextlevelultimate.com/?p=10 After the successful collaboration in 2008 on the creation of “No Wisconsequences”, a now annual 70 team college ultimate tournament held outside of Madison in October, long-time organizers Matt Sewell and Cyle Van Auken of Cultimate once again combined forces with Ben Feldman and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Club (Wisconsin Hodags) to create the Next Level Ultimate Camp.

The goal of both parties was to provide an exciting opportunity for high school players to improve their skills and techniques during the summer months. Ben Feldman, now in his third year with Wisconsin’s nationally competitive ultimate program, was inspired by the positive experiences he had when attending the University of Colorado’s Junior Elite Methods (JEM) Camp in 2005, and had hoped to bring that same experience to the next generation of high school players. Next Level Ultimate Camp is organized and staffed by individuals who are committed to creating the camp that they would have loved to been able to attend during their high school years.

Becoming a complete ultimate player means developing athletic ability, knowledge of the game, self-esteem, confidence, sportsmanship, team concept and a positive attitude on and off the field.

The instructors at Next Level Ultimate Camp help athletes develop these skills by coaching them through five days of the same drills and focused scrimmages used by top university and club level players. By instilling a balance of team work with self-reliance, competition, and fun, our program prepares Next Level campers for success in both ultimate and life.
